POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach, a respected and impactful 45-year-old non-profit dedicated to protecting the authenticity of Palm Beach’s iconic architecture and beautiful botanicals, is looking for a dynamic, warm and engaging self-starter to help achieve the fundraising goals that make the work of this important civic institution possible. The Advancement Manager has a leadership role in the planning, execution and long-term management of the non-profit’s major advancement endeavors. Working alongside the Director of Advancement, the Manager will grow important donor relationships to cultivate and steward philanthropy at the Foundation, both by nurturing long-time donors, and by bringing new supporters into the fold. Their focus will include overseeing the annual giving program, and managing fundraising campaigns. Some grant writing and reporting, is also included in this role. Working in partnership with the Advancement team and the Foundation staff and board, this position will build a strong culture of philanthropy throughout the Preservation Foundation and the Palm Beach community.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

· Cultivate donor relationships, with the Director of Advancement, through personal meetings and outreach, with the goal of increasing support

· Receive and monitor donor inquiries and feedback, and work with Director of Advancement to respond with a kind attitude and information to steward giving and commitment to the Foundation

· Collaborate with the Director of Advancement on strategy and implementation of all of the Foundation’s annual fundraising initiatives

· Assist in identifying new prospects for cultivation, and outreach when necessary

· Develop initiatives to engage and retain members


Campaign Support:

· Aid in the preparation and execution of fundraising campaigns including mailings, email communications, and social media promotions

· Compile campaign data and assist in tracking results to report to leadership and stakeholders

· Assist in producing collateral such as brochures, case statements and newsletters


Grant Support:

· Assist with grant application preparation by compiling necessary documents, tracking deadlines and ensuring applications are submitted on time

· Help with the stewardship of grants including reporting, monitoring outcomes and maintaining proper records for funders


Communications and Outreach:

· Oversee and manage mailings for membership solicitation, donor cultivation, capital campaigns and special projects

· Support the creation and distribution of newsletters, annual reports and other communications to keep donors informed about the Foundation’s work

· Assist with donor-related content on the Foundation’s website, donor portals and social media platforms as needed

· Assist in drafting and sending email communications and updates to stakeholders


Data Management and Reporting:

· Track and report on effectiveness of all solicitations to ensure accurate and complete data capture to drive effective reporting

· Monitor and track donor activity, ensuring timely follow-ups and responses to inquiries or requests


Office Management:

· Manage all aspects of Annual Trustee meeting

· Establish operational standards and policies to deliver high-level service to Foundation stakeholders

· Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree required with a focus on non-profit management, liberal arts, communications or related field preferred

· Significant fundraising and non-profit experience preferred

· A passion for Palm Beach and the mission of the Preservation Foundation strongly encouraged


Skills:

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication

· Demonstrated commitment to excellence, details and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment

· High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

· High proficiency with donor management software

· Positive attitude, relationship-building skills, a high-level of self-motivation and a strong, responsible work ethic

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with donors, colleagues and volunteers

· Event management experience preferred


Other:

· Ability to work flexible hours during season, including evenings and weekends as needed

· Ability to lift boxes of up to twenty (20) pounds

· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required


Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
