Job Description
Company Description
STooPS is a Bed-Stuy-based organization that connects our neighborhood through a "big ol' block party," classes, and artistic expression in unconventional spaces. Our mission is to make art accessible while deeply valuing creators and honoring the local community.
At STooPS, we believe in Collaborative Exploration, using relationship-building and creative thinking to invigorate our neighborhood through socially relevant artistic experimentation. We are committed to Valuing Creators, which means we move beyond "exposure" to provide fair compensation rooted in communally-determined value systems.
By Honoring the Local, we empower artists to create where they live, activating local spaces to expand the creative culture of our community. We challenge our team and our neighbors to embrace Creative Growth & Development, making sustainable decisions that benefit artists, businesses, homeowners, and neighbors alike. Join us in our work to facilitate unique, vision-fulfilling engagements that catalyze deep connections between artists and their audiences.
