Assistant to the Managing Director, at Lincoln Center Theater
Lincoln Center Theater has produced over 200 plays and musicals at the Vivian Beaumont, Mitzi E. Newhouse, and Claire Tow Theaters at Lincoln Center and other theaters on and off-Broadway, as well as touring productions nationally and around the world. Position Summary:
The Assistant to the Managing Director will provide executive administrative support, serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituents on all Lincoln Center Theater matters related to the office of the Managing Director. This position will serve as a liaison to staff members, coordinate external relations efforts, and oversee special projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the Managing Director (i.e., phone reception, scheduling, house seat booking, and additional tasks as needed.)
- Act as a management liaison to internal departments, aiding in the general operations and day-to-day functions of the theater.
- Assist General Management team in the execution and tracking of Co-Producer, licensing and cast album agreements, as well as LORT and institutional union contracts.
- Compile research on institutional practices for reporting to theater industry organizations.
- Manage ticket reservations for all Tony voters to each of the theater's Tony-eligible shows and administer mailings to the voting members.
- Coordinate staff, holiday, first preview, and opening night gifts.
Position Requirements and Experience:
- This position required a Bachelor's Degree or above; and 1-2 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in a not-for-profit, theater, or in the performing arts.
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills; tech savvy and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Video Conferencing, and other administrative applications
- Experience in writing business correspondence.
- Highly adaptable, flexible, with a keen attention to detail.
Compensation:
This is a full-time, exempt, salaried position with an annual salary range of $58,000-$62,000. Lincoln Center Theater provides comprehensive benefits including: Paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 403(b) and Employer Match, and Paid Time Off.
