Role Description

This is a contract-based hybrid role for a Campaign Field Director located in Maine's second district. The Political Field Director will coordinate field operations, ensuring the smooth execution of grassroots organizing. The role involves managing voter outreach efforts, managing canvassing teams, and collaborating with the communications team to create literature for volunteer recruitment. Additionally, the Field Director will mentor and lead volunteer teams while fostering strong community partnerships. Applicants should be located in the district, preferably in the Lewiston, Augusta, Ellsworth, or Bangor areas. Compensation is consummate to relevant experience. Ideal applicants are experienced organizers who are motivated to mobilize an anti-establishment grassroots campaign with strong communication, recruiting, and logistics coordination skills.

Qualifications

• 2 or more cycles of experience in a similar role
• Experience with grassroots organizing to engage, recruit, and mobilize volunteers effectively
• Excellent interpersonal and team leadership skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
• Experience in political campaigns or community organizing is highly desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, Public Policy, or a related field preferred but not required
