Forward Together America is seeking an exceptional executive leader to build and lead our national campaign finance operation.

Position Summary

The Campaign Finance Chair serves as the executive leader responsible for the campaign’s complete national fundraising operation and financial strategy. This individual will design, build, and execute a comprehensive finance program supporting a competitive national Vice Presidential campaign while ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal Election Commission (FEC), IRS, federal, state, and local campaign finance requirements.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, sound judgment, unwavering integrity, and the ability to inspire donors, volunteers, finance professionals, and campaign leadership around a shared mission.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the campaign’s comprehensive national fundraising strategy.
• Build, lead, and continuously strengthen a high-performing national finance organization.
• Recruit, mentor, coach, and manage regional and national finance staff.
• Establish fundraising goals, budgets, forecasting models, and measurable performance metrics.
• Cultivate relationships with individual donors, major donors, grassroots supporters, finance committees, and fundraising hosts.
• Lead digital fundraising, events, direct mail, online giving, major donor cultivation, and grassroots fundraising initiatives.
• Monitor fundraising performance and provide strategic recommendations to campaign leadership.
• Partner with campaign leadership on budgeting, financial planning, and organizational growth.
• Coordinate finance operations with communications, political, legal, compliance, operations, digital, and field departments.
• Ensure full compliance with FEC regulations, IRS requirements, and all applicable campaign finance laws.
• Develop and maintain strong internal financial controls and approval processes.
• Safeguard confidential donor and campaign information.
• Represent the campaign professionally with donors, community leaders, elected officials, business leaders, and strategic partners.

Required Qualifications

• Executive leadership experience in campaign finance, fundraising, nonprofit development, public affairs, government relations, or related executive leadership.
• Demonstrated success leading significant fundraising initiatives and achieving measurable financial goals.
• Experience building and leading high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, financial, and strategic planning abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• High ethical standards, professionalism, accountability, and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with federal campaign finance operations.
• Knowledge of FEC reporting requirements and campaign finance compliance.
• Experience managing large-scale fundraising organizations.
• Experience with donor relationship management (CRM) systems and modern fundraising technology.
• Experience supporting political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or national nonprofit organizations.

Compensation & Executive Benefits

Forward Together America is committed to attracting exceptional executive leadership through a competitive total compensation package.

Base Executive Compensation

• Annual Base Salary: $180,000 – $220,000, commensurate with qualifications, executive leadership experience, fundraising expertise, and campaign needs.

Deferred Compensation

To responsibly steward campaign resources during the campaign’s launch phase, base salary is initially deferred until predefined fundraising milestones and available campaign resources support activation of payroll. Deferred compensation will be administered in accordance with the Employment Agreement and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.

Campaign Success Performance Incentive

The Campaign Finance Chair may be eligible for a discretionary executive performance incentive based on the achievement of predefined fundraising, organizational, and campaign performance objectives established by campaign leadership. Any incentive will be governed by the Employment Agreement, applicable campaign policies, available campaign resources, and all applicable federal, state, local, and FEC requirements.
