Jasmin Sanchez’s campaign for New York State Assembly District 65 is hiring interns and paid fellows to join our field and campaign team.
Jasmin Sanchez is a progressive candidate running to represent Assembly District 65, which includes the Lower East Side, East Village, Chinatown, and parts of Lower Manhattan. Our campaign is rooted in working-class representation, tenant power, public housing, strong public schools, healthcare access, and building a government that works for everyday New Yorkers.

Interns will be expected to work approximately 10–15 hours per week. Paid fellows will work approximately 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities may include:
- Canvassing, phone banking, and other voter outreach activities
- Launching and leading canvasses and phone banks
- Training volunteers on MiniVAN and Reach
- Answering voter questions about Jasmin, the campaign, and the election
- Staffing the candidate at events, including taking photos and helping with logistics
- Assisting with social media, scheduling, and campaign communications
- Supporting volunteer recruitment and follow-up
- Attending weekly intern meetings
Required skills and qualifications:
- Must be located in New York City
- Must be comfortable talking on the phone and speaking with voters, volunteers, and strangers
- Must be available to work some weekend hours
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Interest in progressive politics, grassroots campaigns, and community organizing
Preferred but not required:
- Spanish and/or Mandarin proficiency
- Prior campaign, organizing, volunteer, or community outreach experience
- Familiarity with VAN/MiniVAN, Reach, Mobilize, or other campaign tools
This is a great opportunity for students, young organizers, and anyone interested in learning how grassroots campaigns work from the inside. Interns and fellows will gain hands-on experience in voter outreach, volunteer management, field operations, campaign communications, and event support.
