Job Posting: Campaign Manager - Ben Ewen-Campen for State Representative 27th Middlesex, Massachusetts
About the Campaign
- Ben Ewen-Campen is running for State Representative in the 27th Middlesex in a competitive Democratic primary on September 1, 2026. We're building a grassroots, progressive campaign and need an experienced organizer to help us win.
- Position: Campaign Manager (Part-Time) Hours: ~25-30 hrs/week through September 1, 2026. Compensation: $30/hr; Location: Somerville, MA; some hybrid, but regular field and in-person work required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a primary election strategy across voter outreach, field organizing, and earned media
- Manage day-to-day campaign operations including volunteer coordination, scheduling, and communications
- Oversee voter contact program (canvassing, phone/text banking) using VAN/NGP or similar tools
- Coordinate with candidate on messaging, public appearances, and endorsement outreach
- Track budget and spending in coordination with the treasurer
Qualifications
- At least one cycle of experience on a campaign, electoral organizing role, or comparable political/advocacy work
- Familiarity with VAN (Voter Activation Network)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter who can manage competing priorities with limited supervisionCommitmen
t to progressive values and knowledge of Somerville/Massachusetts political landscape a plus
