Job Description
Work with senior decision makers in the lead office responsible for enabling innovative acquisition approaches that deliver warfighting capability at the speed of relevance, with priorities to create, train, and implement the Adaptive Acquisition Framework and to support the development of data-driven decision making and providing acquisition data governance, access, and analytics. Leverage and gather input and feedback that is coordinated with subject matter experts to formulate recommendations for action, and strategic communication messaging in support of senior decision makers. Leverage expertise in policy development and cross-departmental communications to facilitate coordination of both short and long-term initiatives to improve capability delivery by the client. Develop reports, information papers, presentation material, speeches, talking points, and prepare drafts of official correspondence.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with working for the DoD, Joint Service (JS), or a Service-level staff office developing executive level briefings and deliverables
- Ability to interface smoothly and comfortably with program managers and engineers from the various Services, agencies, and combatant commands and program management offices in order to collect and assimilate required data
- Ability to deliver strong technical writing, and incorporate and integrate the writing of others into a smooth, comprehensive, and readable technical document
- Experience with integrating and incorporating detailed technical data and products for senior-level consumption and consideration
- Experience with evaluating and overseeing program execution of near-term, mid-term, and long-term projects
- Experience with performing evaluations, studies, and analyses in support of program oversight DoD PPBE system, the DAS, and JCIDS
- Experience in support to senior executives in task tracking, technical reviews of materials, strategic guidance, programmatic recommendations, calendar tracking, and in developing reports, information papers, presentation material, speeches, talking points, and prepare drafts of official correspondence
- Experience in support to senior executives working with other OSD Agencies, Joint Staff, and Congress.
- Bachelor's degree
- Secret Clearance
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with task management software, including CATMS and basic DoD staffing coordination processes
- Knowledge of Adaptive Acquisition Framework and related DoD 5000 Series Rewrite efforts
- Knowledge of the DoD Manual for Written Material: Correspondence Management
- Experience with drafting and managing policy documents and congressional correspondence
- Possession of excellent editing skills
Clearance:
