Job Description
The Office of Congressman George Latimer (NY-16) seeks a paid Comms/Digital Fellow to join a collaborative team for Fall/Winter 2025. Fellow must be enthusiastic about communicating the Congressman’s priorities and crafting compelling and creative ways to reach constituents. Fellowship is full-time in DC with a monthly stipend commensurate with experience.
Job Functions:
- Craft timely, digestible social media content
- Produce high-quality graphics and videos
- Assist Communications Director with drafting newsletters, floor speeches, text messages, and social media posts
- Work with the Communications Director to execute a communications strategy and rapid response
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior experience in digital communications, including graphic design and video editing
- Strong writing and grammatical skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and nimble
- Comfortable with fast turnaround times
- Familiarity with commonly used graphic design platforms (Ex: Photoshop or Canva)
- Congressional office or relevant federal, state or local campaign experience is preferred
