Job Description
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
Salary: $55,000-$65,000 annually
Frontline DIGNITY is seeking a dynamic, creative, and highly motivated Communications Director to help lead the organization through its next chapter of growth and impact.
At a pivotal moment in our country's political and cultural landscape, Frontline DIGNITY is building and strengthening a growing movement of communities committed to defending human dignity, supporting one another, and transforming how ordinary people respond to injustice.
As our organization continues to evolve, we are looking for a communications leader who can help shape our public identity, amplify our impact, expand our reach, and establish Frontline DIGNITY as a leading national voice in conversations about immigration, community solidarity, the Affront to Dignity, and collective action.
The Communications Director will serve as a key member of organizational leadership, working closely with the Executive Director and senior staff to develop bold, thoughtful, and effective communications strategies. This individual will have the opportunity to build and strengthen the organization's communications infrastructure, cultivate relationships with media and community partners, and recruit and develop a growing communications team as organizational resources permit.
We are looking for a builder. The ideal candidate brings both vision and execution: a creative strategist who can recognize opportunities, develop compelling narratives, lead initiatives independently, and turn ambitious ideas into tangible results.
This position requires adaptability, initiative, dependability, sound judgment, and a deep understanding of dignity-centered storytelling. Our work moves quickly, our responsibilities are significant, and the communities we serve depend on us to communicate with accuracy, compassion, and integrity.
This is a hands-on leadership role with significant opportunities for growth. The Communications Director will initially lead both strategy and day-to-day execution while helping build the systems, relationships, and team capacity necessary to support the organization's continued development.
Why This Moment Matters
Frontline DIGNITY is entering a defining period of organizational growth. In a relatively short period, we have built a rapidly growing community of volunteers, partners, and supporters committed to protecting immigrant communities and responding to injustice through collective action.
As our organization matures, we are asking important questions about how to deepen our impact, strengthen our infrastructure, and respond to the opportunities and responsibilities ahead. In an environment shaped by rapidly changing immigration policies, political polarization, and competing public narratives, effective communications become all the more essential to building trust, strengthening communities, making cultural impact, and inspiring meaningful action.
Our next Communications Director will help us tell that story, strengthen our organizational voice, and build the communications capacity necessary for what comes next.
