The Office of Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander (NH-02) is seeking a Communications Director (title commensurate with experience) in her Washington, D.C. office. This role leads the Congresswoman’s communications strategy and works closely with senior staff to ensure strong coordination across legislative, communications, and district teams. For the right candidate, the role may include additional senior management responsibilities.

Core responsibilities include developing and executing a proactive, integrated communications strategy; leading earned media, digital, and social media efforts; overseeing press releases, statements, op-eds, speeches, talking points, and constituent communications; managing rapid response and crisis communications; cultivating relationships with national, state, and local media; supervising communications staff; and coordinating with external consultants. The Communications Director will work closely with the Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and district team to advance the Congresswoman’s priorities for New Hampshire.

The ideal candidate will have strong political judgment, excellent organizational and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in political communications, government, or advocacy is required; management experience and familiarity with New Hampshire’s media and political landscape are preferred but not required.

Salary starts at $100,000 and is commensurate with experience. New Hampshire ties are a plus.
