Are you a creative, passionate student eager to gain hands-on experience in communications, storytelling, and community engagement? AARP Georgia is seeking a Communications Intern to support our mission of empowering people to choose how they live as they age and building stronger communities. In this paid internship, you’ll assist with real-world projects, including writing articles for the Georgia Red Clay Report newsletter and AARP Georgia website, creating social media content, and analyzing digital metrics to help shape engagement strategies. You’ll also draft press releases, attend events to capture content, and collaborate on podcast production—from scheduling guests to developing interview questions. This role offers the chance to grow your skills in writing, digital media, and event coverage. This paid internship has an anticipated start date of Fall 2025 and will run through the end of the year, with the possibility of extending additional semesters.

Hybrid Work Environment
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
Compensation And Benefits
The hourly range is $18 for undergraduates, $21 for graduate students, $28 for Ph.D. candidates. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
