Community Outreach Advocate

At Happy Spoons, we are building a community-based operation to help families across New York City receive three nutritious meals a day through a Medicaid-supported nutrition program.

We are looking for passionate, purpose-driven individuals to join a mission centered on service, dignity, and real community impact.

• This is a full-time position with an immediate start.
• The role is based in the Bronx and requires working directly in the community.
• Candidates who are not available to start now or who are not able to work primarily in the Bronx may not be a fit at this time.

As a Community Outreach Advocate, you will be the human connection between families in need and a life-sustaining nutrition program.

You are not selling.

You are serving, guiding, and enrolling.

You will:

• Screen, qualify, and enroll eligible families into a Medicaid-supported nutrition program
• Engage directly with community members and families, face-to-face
• Build trust and maintain strong relationships within the community
• Represent Happy Spoons’ mission with professionalism, empathy, and integrity
  

This role is for someone who is:

• Deeply people-oriented and approachable
• Comfortable working in the field and engaging families directly

• Empathetic, communicative, and relationship-driven
• Available to work full-time starting immediately
  

$41,600–$52,000 annually, based on experience

(Equivalent to $20–$25 per hour for full-time roles)
