the ideal candidate will reside in the DMV in order to attend local events and work from the Reston, VA office as needed.
The Constituency Engagement Manager reports to the Chief of Staff and Governance Relations. The Constituency Engagement Manager has primary responsibility for maintaining and executing administrative processes of key volunteer association constituencies, both in-person and utilizing online platforms. Activities dealing with volunteer association constituencies involve working closely with the Chief of Staff and Governance Relations, Societies and Councils, and State Leaders. Core activities include assisting with the execution of NAfME events including National Assembly and programmatic webinars and overseeing the management of NAfME constituent data records. Other duties include administrative support of the Chief of Staff and Governance Relations, support for association events and programs, in-person and online.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supports the work of key volunteer association Societies and Councils, providing administrative support, meeting facilitation (in-person and live), and web services.
· Ability to work closely with NAfME departments across the association to assist with the successful and mission focused execution of programs and activities.
· Assists with arranging conferences and meetings in person and virtual; prepares and assembles materials; makes, confirms, and processes travel arrangements and expense reports; schedules and arranges meetings.
· Track and update national and state officers, volunteer, or other leadership transitions in various NAfME database platforms.
· Provide pre-planning, onsite, and post-event assistance for the annual National Leadership Assembly event, including developing registration systems, web, and app content, overseeing the onsite registration process, and providing post-event reporting.
· Provide technical support for NAfME website updates and CRM reports.
· Preparing and processing confidential correspondence, reports, agendas, and general papers; composes and types routine correspondence for Association constituencies, governance entities and individuals, memos, letters, reports, etc.; processes forms, schedules, contracts, grants, and general correspondence; prepares and edits papers, reports, agendas, and/or manuscripts for publication. The highest level of discretion is mandatory.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience.
· 3+ years relevant work experience.
· Advanced user of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and internet search engines.
· Preferred user of Salesforce, Fonteva, or other related database management systems.
· Advanced user of WordPress or other web publishing programs.
· Excellent interpersonal/human relations skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Discretion, tact, diplomacy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Ability to compose and edit correspondence based on verbal or written concept directives.
· Ability to prepare reports and publications.
· Ability to work and retain flexibility under pressure.
· Thorough knowledge of office practices and procedures.
· Project management skills.
· Strong organizational/planning skills.
· Ability to utilize virtual meeting software and facilitate meetings with both in-person and remote employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Willingness to travel on occasion throughout the year.
· Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
