Content & Editorial Writing Intern

Location: Washington, D.C. Hybrid or Remote

Schedule: Part-time / Flexible Hours

The Digital Chamber is looking for a creative, curious, and motivated Content & Editorial Writing Intern to join our marketing and communications team.

This is a learning-focused opportunity for someone who wants to build real-world writing experience and learn how content is developed, edited, and published by a national non-profit trade organization working at the forefront of the blockchain, AI, and next generation technology. 

The intern will primarily support the team with blog writing, newsletter writing, social writing, and other editorial projects. You'll work closely with experienced marketing and communications professionals, receive feedback on your writing, and gain hands-on experience developing content for different audiences.

This is a great opportunity for a student or emerging writer who wants to build a portfolio, strengthen their professional writing skills, and learn how to turn complex topics into clear and compelling stories. 

What You'll Learn & Do

• Write and contribute to blog posts covering technology, digital assets, policy, business, and related topics 
• Assist with website and other editorial copy 
• Research topics and turn complex information into clear, accessible content 
• Learn how to write for different audiences and communication channels 
• Assist with editing and proofreading existing content 
• Learn how editorial content moves from an initial idea through research, drafting, editing, and publication 
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team on content ideas and projects 
• Receive feedback and guidance designed to help you become a stronger writer 

What We're Looking For

• A strong interest in writing and storytelling 
• Excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills 
• Curiosity and willingness to learn about unfamiliar topics 
• Ability to research a topic and communicate it clearly 
• Strong attention to detail 
• Willingness to receive feedback and revise your work 
• Interest in technology, business, public policy, digital assets, or emerging industries is a plus 
• Previous experience with a student publication, blog, newsletter, journalism, or other writing project is a plus, but not required

Eligibility & Academic Credit: This is an unpaid, for-credit internship. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship. Students studying English, creative writing, journalism, communications, marketing, political science, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
