Communications & Education Foundation Coordinator
Employment Term (days): 226
Pay Scale: Administrative-Business 4
Primary Purpose:
Provide administrative, operational, and financial support for the Victoria ISD Education Foundation and the VISD Communications & Public Relations Department. Assist in coordinating Foundation operations, board support, financial reporting, event planning, donor communications, grant tracking, and communications systems management. Assist with communications projects, reporting, digital platforms, publications, and department operations to support district goals and stakeholder engagement.
Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management or a related field (preferred)
Experience:
Three years of professional experience in communications, public relations, nonprofit administration, fundraising, marketing, business operations or related field
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Experience with budget tracking and financial reporting
Knowledge of nonprofit operations and donor relations preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management
Working knowledge of communications platforms, websites, and social media tools
Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, donors, volunteers, board members, and community stakeholders
