CORPORATE AND FOUNDATION RELATIONS COORDINATOR
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Corporate and Foundation Relations Coordinator supports the advancement of Point Foundation’s corporate and foundation giving program which includes grants from a range of private foundations, corporations, and corporate foundations. They will be responsible for prospect research, record-keeping in the database and calendar, pipeline coordination, and coordinating with program and marketing staff to ensure goals, deadlines, and financial objectives are accomplished. Additionally, this role will work closely with peer staff to coordinate the implementation of robust ERG engagement programs.

Status: Full-Time Administrative Non-Exempt
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $26-28 per hour - based on experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Research prospective corporations, private foundations, and corporate and/or socially responsibility foundations
-Diligently tracks the cultivation, progress, solicitations, and stewardship activities of Corporate and Foundation partners
-Keeps calendar of application and reporting deadlines
- With the Director, collaborates with Employee Resource Groups or affinity groups at corporations to engage for fundraising and volunteerism
-Prepares presentation decks in PowerPoint for various meetings and outreach
-Collaborates with engagement staff to produce digital newsletter and other communications for corporate partners
-Coordinates with marketing staff to ensure partner representation on website and in social media is accurate
-Ensures a timely acknowledgment process to funders
-Provides effect support to the Director of CFR to achieve annual fundraising goals
-Participates in the successful completion of special projects and other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
-Minimum of one to three years’ experience related to development, corporate philanthropy, or foundation relations in the nonprofit sector
-Computer proficiency in Windows and Office 365 operating system and all related MS Office applications including PowerPoint and preferably Canva or related design programs
-Proficiency with donor database programs (ex: Raiser’s Edge) including data entry, invoicing, tracking, updating prospect assignments, and generating reports
-Proficiency with research websites, i.e. Candid, Foundation Search, etc. for prospecting
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
-Basic knowledge of development/fundraising concepts
-Excellent time, resource, and project coordination skills
-Advanced verbal and professional written communication abilities
-Ability to interact with diplomacy and tact amid influential donors and diverse groups
-Excellent organizational, administrative, and critical thinking skills
-Enjoy group work and collaboration but also possess the ability to work independently
-Demonstrate integrity and strive for excellence
-Able to work on multiple projects and remain focused in the face of pressure, and deliver against timelines
-Strong emotional intelligence and an ability to partner with diverse leadership teams
-Able to maintain strict confidentiality
