About The Role:
The Corporate Relations Manager manages and grows FPHNYC’s portfolio of corporate donors, sponsors, and partners. Reporting to the Chief External Affairs Officer, the Corporate Relations Manager identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards corporate prospects and partners to support FPHNYC’s public health programs and initiatives. This role plays a critical part in building cross-sector partnerships that align with DOHMH priorities and advance the health and well-being of all New Yorkers.
About the Program:
The External Affairs Department houses the Development and Marketing & Communications units. Together, this team raises funding, builds strategic partnerships, and raises awareness of public health priorities. The Corporate Relations Manager will work closely with the Director Chief External Affairs Officer, DOHMH program teams, and other stakeholders to secure corporate support and align partnership opportunities with FPHNYC’s mission and DOHMH priorities.

Responsibilities:
- Implement FPHNYC’s corporate fundraising strategy to increase revenue from corporations and business partners under the direction of the Chief External Affairs Officer.
- Identify, research, and qualify new corporate prospects and build a robust pipeline of potential partners.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with corporate decision-makers, community engagement teams, and CSR departments.
- Create and deliver customized partnership proposals, sponsorship packages, and grant applications aligned with corporate priorities and FPHNYC programs.
- Negotiate agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and compliance with FPHNYC policies.
- Manage a portfolio of corporate donors and prospects, ensuring timely follow-up, reporting, and acknowledgment of support.
- Develop impact reports and marketing materials to highlight program outcomes and corporate recognition.
- Coordinate with DOHMH program teams to facilitate corporate engagement opportunities, including site visits, volunteer days, and public health campaigns.
- Develop and implement a corporate recognition program to acknowledge contributions and enhance partner visibility.
- Collaborate with the External Affairs team (Development, Marketing & Communications) to integrate corporate partnerships into the overall fundraising strategy.
- Partner with the Director of Institutional Giving and other senior leadership when corporate opportunities intersect with institutional giving priorities.
- Maintain accurate records of corporate donor activity and revenue in Salesforce and SharePoint systems.
- Track and analyze corporate giving trends to inform strategy and forecast revenue.
- Provide regular updates to the Chief External Affairs Officer and contribute to board-level reporting as needed.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to support the overall goals and mission of the department/organization.
- Partner with the Chief External Affairs Officer to launch and expand the HealthyNYC Corporate Council.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in corporate fundraising, corporate social responsibility (CSR), or institutional giving.
- Proven success securing corporate gifts, sponsorships, or partnerships of $25,000 and above.
- Strong understanding of corporate philanthropy, CSR, and cause marketing trends, particularly in NYC.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage corporate leaders and stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling proposals and impact reports.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or comparable CRM systems required.
- Knowledge of NYC public health issues and/or the NYC non-profit and government sectors is a plus.
