Job Description
The Office of Elissa Slotkin is seeking a Correspondence Manager to join her Washington D.C. office. This position is responsible for all aspects of the office’s correspondence operation, including ensuring it is responsive, timely, and hitting key metrics. The ideal candidate would have strong written and oral skills, be extremely detail orientated, excel at managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and have prior experience with Intranet Quorum. Additional duties include managing Senator Slotkin’s D.C. Internship Program. This includes liaising with Michigan universities, actively recruiting a diverse candidate pool, selecting and training interns, and providing day to day guidance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the office Correspondence Services System (IQ).
- Coordinating the processing of all legislative correspondence, including proofreading, editing, and approving outgoing correspondence.
- Working with the policy team to craft response letters and maintain the letter library.
- Compiling regular updates on the correspondence and internship programs for the Senator and senior staff.
