The Role

The Credentialing Specialist provides operational support for the RIMS Certified Risk Management Professional certification (RIMS-CRMP) and the Canadian Risk Management designation (CRM) awarded by the Global Risk Management Institute, Inc (GRMI). 

Reporting to the Director of Certification Programs, this position supports the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of each program by providing RIMS clients with a dynamic and excellent experience through high-quality service and delivery.

Responsibilities Include: 

CRM Designation Administration

  • Respond to designation inquiries of varying complexity 
  • Develop SOPs for CRM candidate registration, test administration, issuance, and ongoing maintenance
  • Process financial transactions related to GRMI designation product offerings
  • Manage all current and prospective candidate records, including submissions and exam grades, across multiple database platforms
  • Collaborate with exam administrator to set up virtual exams, cancellation of exams, and reschedule exams
  • Track and report on various metrics related to quarterly program efforts and annual chapter reports 
  • Maintain a repository of college and university transcripts from CRM candidates
  • Issue CRM digital badges and electronic certificates
  • Maintain RIMS Fellow (RF) designation records in the AMS, including CEU credits earned, and workshops taken

RIMS-CRMP Certification Support

  • Respond to certification inquiries of varying complexity including certification eligibility requirements, recertification, and completion
  • Process financial transactions related to RIMS certification product offerings
  • Compile RIMS-CRMP certification exam reports from the vendor, enter candidate status into the system, send virtual congratulatory letters and certificates to new certification holders, and issue digital badges
  • Work with vendor to ensure RIMS-CRMP eligible candidates receive access to the certification exam 
  • Collaborate with external vendors and Director of Certification Programs on system integration, security standards, application processes, payment methodologies, database management, test delivery communication, and test deployment within the external vendor platforms (scheduling, data transmission, troubleshooting, monitoring, etc.)
  • Maintain RIMS-CRMP certification records in the database, including recertification credits earned, workshops taken and issue recertification certificates and extend digital badges
  • Review RIMS-CRMP applications to ensure criteria have been met for approval
  • Generate monthly revenue reports for the RIMS-CRMP certification

Experience:

  • 2+ years in a credentialing or administrative support role required
  • Experience with CRM (client relationship management) /AMS (association management) system or FMS (financial management system) experience required
  • Experience working in an Association desired

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of credentialing processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office solutions (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to organize, prioritize work and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 cwe and location
