Job Title: Foundation Program Coordinator

Job Classification: Fulltime, Non-Exempt

Base Pay Range: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 Annually BOE

Location: Sacramento, HQ Office (Hybrid) or Southern California (Remote/Home Office)

Purpose:

The Program Coordinator leads the delivery of CRF’s workforce development and CTE programs – ProStart, Restaurant Ready, and related initiatives – supporting educators, coordinating partner engagement, and advancing the foundation’s goals through high-quality, high-impact programming statewide. By bringing organization, communication, and strong relationship-building skills to the table, this role creates meaningful learning experiences, fosters industry connections, and ensures programs run smoothly

Requirements:


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Program Coordination & Implementation

  • Develop and implement annual plan for ProStart, Restaurant Ready, and workforce development programs identifying goals and strategies to grow and improve the program.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities for ProStart, Restaurant Ready, and workforce development programs, events, and activities.
  • Recruit and onboard new schools and partner programs.
  • Create and deliver professional development opportunities for program participants.
  • Support annual state and national ProStart competitions.
  • Initiate and lead ProStart alumni engagement efforts, including securing testimonials.
  • Maintain program tools, resources, data reports, surveys, school budgets, and materials; ensure timely updates.
  • Assist in planning, staffing, and executing CRF events such as and not limited to boot camps, Experience Hospitality, Mixers, FIT, and The Grateful Table.

2. Partner, School & Community Engagement

  • Build, manage, and maintain strong working relationships with industry, ProStart teachers, Department of Education, CTE, Community Based Organizations (CBO) partners, workforce development organizations, and post-secondary partners.
  • Represent CRF on advisory committees.
  • Support the coordination of industry engagement and program participation across California.
  • Represent CRF at community events, school engagements, partner meetings, and program-related conferences.
  • Coordinate industry engagement and volunteerism for program delivery.
  • Recruit and train volunteers for events and activities.

3. Marketing, Communications & Outreach

  • Write and edit communications, including emails, monthly ProStart Educator Newsletter, CRA chapter updates and promotional pieces.
  • Support CRF’s digital presence through social media content, program updates, and event coverage.
  • Prepare presentations, materials, and reports for board meetings, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the visibility of CRF programs through community engagement and digital channels.
  • Maintain program content on website.
  • Support donor recognition and partner stewardship efforts.
  • Assist with general administrative duties as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in program coordination, education, workforce development, nonprofit work, hospitality, or community engagement is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills required.

Other Requirements

  • Regular Attendance.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout California for school visits, meetings, and events.
  • Some evening, weekends, and overnight travel are required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds for event and material setup.
  • Noise levels may vary from moderate to busy during events.
