Summary
These job openings are in the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), Technical and Program Quality (TPQ) , Public Health and Nutrition at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Duties
Recognized as an Agency-wide expert in managing, coordinating, or administrating public health programming in a humanitarian assistance or early recovery, risk reduction, or resilience (ER4) context from headquarters or field-based locations.
Provides expert advice, guidance, and support to Missions, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, host countries, and others, on technical issues regarding the design, implementation, management, and evaluation of public health
Assesses effectiveness or recommends improvement of the public health program and/or operational processes encompassing difficult and diverse issues that affect aspects of HA and ER4 programming.
Conducts comprehensive evaluations of ongoing public health programs to ensure that the organization meets its stated goals and identifies areas where operational efficiency can be enhanced.
Serves as public health technical liaison, including but not limited to other USG Agencies, donors, multilateral banks, implementing partners, non governmental organizations, the private sector, and others on how best to coordinate their efforts.
Actively participates in public health policy formulation for HA and ER4 programming and reviews liaison activities for agency-wide health programs. Informs stakeholders of changes in public health programs.
