  • Develop a strategy for sustained engagement with diaspora communities, ensuring the City’s diplomatic work reflects the experiences and priorities of New Yorkers.
  • Manage and update the process for vetting international visitors, ensuring international engagements advance the City’s priorities.
  • Support the office’s consular engagement program, strengthening outreach to immigrant New Yorkers, building partnerships with city agencies, and fostering cultural and economic exchanges.
  • Supervise and support the Director for Economic Development in building international economic partnerships and attracting foreign investment that strengthens the city’s economy and benefits New Yorkers.
  • Supervise and support the Junior Ambassadors Program, which engages 7th-9th graders across all five boroughs with the mission and work of the United Nations.
  • Supervise and support the Director of Protocol, who is tasked with managing international engagements and visits with precision and adherence to international protocol standards.

About You:
  • You have an understanding of New York City’s diasporas and their connections to the world.
  • You have deep knowledge of global politics and movements.
  • You have extensive experience coordinating bilateral and multilateral engagements with high-level offices.
