Job Description
The organization is seeking a Deputy Counsel to lead the Office of General Counsel, providing legal advice and support to the agency's executive and program staff. This role involves supervising legal staff, managing assignments, and representing the organization in legal proceedings and negotiations. The Deputy Counsel will also prepare legal documents, conduct research, and interpret laws and regulations relevant to the agency's mission. Candidates should possess a law degree, be a member of the organization Bar, and have at least seven years of relevant legal experience, with a preference for expertise in state legislation, environmental laws, and government contracting.
