Job Description



Senator Mazie K. Hirono seeks a detail-oriented, resourceful problem solver with strong interpersonal and organizational skills to serve as Deputy Scheduler in her Washington, DC office. This position is primarily responsible for responding to constituent incoming requests, tracking and building the Senator’s briefing book and materials and ensuring smooth overall office processes. This position will report to and work closely with the Director of Scheduling to assist with a broad range of scheduling and executive operations including, but not limited to, managing daily logistics and long-term scheduling requests, maintaining records, assisting with special events and projects while cross collaborating with different departments and staff. The position will also provide administrative and office support services for the Chief of Staff and other duties as assigned. Driving duties and access to a car are welcomed. Applicants with Hawaii ties are encouraged to apply. Previous congressional experience is required. This is not an entry level position.
