Job Description
Colorado Senator John Hickenlooper -- a laid off geologist turned brewpub owner turned elected official -- seeks a Deputy Scheduler for our Washington, D.C. office. Responsibilities include reviewing, processing, and tracking scheduling requests, handling travel arrangements and logistics, collecting and creating memos, helping to coordinate and execute the Senator’s daily D.C. schedule, facilitating planning meetings, and other administrative and scheduling tasks as assigned.
As a team, we take the job seriously but not ourselves and are looking for similarly humble-minded teammates who are hungry to roll up their sleeves and help Coloradans. We’d really love you to apply, especially if you describe yourself as highly organized and detail oriented, having strong interpersonal skills, being wild about great customer service, and resourceful in nature with a can-do attitude.
Candidates must be available to work long, flexible hours when necessary. Previous Senate experience is an added bonus but not necessary. Salary commensurate with experience and includes federal benefits. We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability. Diverse applicants encouraged to apply.
Please submit your resume and a 200 word statement telling us why you are the best candidate for this job to senate_employment@saa.senate.gov indicating the job referral number in the subject line. 231643
