C4 seeks to equip 7,000 individuals annually to help them move from trauma to living, to working and thriving within their community

Description

Community Counseling Centers of Chicago (C4) is currently seeking a Development and Marketing Associate to join our Development and Marketing team.

Reporting to the Director of Development and Marketing, the Development and Marketing Associate directly supports the fundraising goals of the department in addition to light administrative duties for the office. This person is primarily responsible for gift entry and record management, gift acknowledgement and receipts, financial reports, invoices, administrative functions of Development and is the primary supervisor of the database system and information processing. Additionally, this individual will manage social media accounts, the C4 website, and support communications through content creation, proofreading, and research. In a culturally sensitive and appropriate manner, the Development and Marketing Associate articulates C4’s mission, vision and brand.


Duties and Responsibilities

Gift Processing and Acknowledgment - 

• Processing all gifts and pledges, generating all acknowledgement letters, pledge reminders, weekly and monthly financial reports, as well as coordination and reconciliation with the finance department

• Maintain and update donor and prospect information in Salesforce database

• Ensure timely recording of gifts; create and generate standard and custom reports and analytics

• Generating mailings, labels and other reports materials as needed for fundraising or special projects as requested


Marketing and Communications

• Manage social media account (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and C4 website, including scheduling and proof-reading social media, updating website blog, and related work

• Create and maintain reports on marketing performance

• Opportunities to take point on various projects, which may include, for example, the Annual Appeal, the e-newsletter, grant writing opportunities

• Support sponsorship cultivation; develop relationships with businesses, deliver sponsorship packets, and otherwise engage sponsors/potential sponsors

• Assist with development of marketing and event materials (invitations, programs, flyers, etc.)


Fundraising and Grants Procurement

• Support Director of Development in prospecting and qualifying new grant opportunities

• Support grants through coordinating attachments, some research and writing, and collection of deliverables

• Coordinate interdepartmental meetings to vet new funding opportunities


Administrative

• Act as back-up support to the Executive Assistant and assist with overflow work in the Executive Office. Responsible for working with the Executive Assistant and provide general office duties,including but not limited to, scheduling and coordinating meetings, handling incoming calls, incoming/outgoing mail, and coordinating purchases orders forms, databases and office equipment.


Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree; Bachelors degree in related field preferred (Communications, History, Political Science)

• 1-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent education strongly preferred

• Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines

• Demonstrable ability to take initiative in identifying projects and initiatives

• Demonstrable ability to sustain initiatives with moderate oversight

• Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite

• Ability to persuasively articulate passion for C4’s mission and values

• Commitment to racial equity and social justice
