About the Role
ACC is hiring a Development Associate to support our growing fundraising team. This role is ideal for someone at the start of their career, excited to learn the ins and outs of nonprofit development, philanthropy, and grant writing.
The Associate will support day-to-day fundraising operations, from proposal drafting and prospect research to donor outreach, event support, and stewardship, helping ACC build lasting relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation partners.
They will report to the Vice President of Development and work closely with the Major Gifts Officer, gaining hands-on mentorship and insight into how high-performing development teams engage and grow donor support.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator, highly organized, personable, and eager to learn. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and wants to make a tangible impact early in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Proposal & Writing Support: Draft and edit proposals, impact reports, and donor communications; maintain boilerplate materials and project summaries.
- Prospect Research: Conduct research on prospective donors and partners; summarize findings and track cultivation activity in Monday.com CRM.
- Gift Processing & Data Entry: Work with the Finance & Operations manager to record gifts, pledges, and donor interactions in internal CRM; coordinate reconciliation with Finance to ensure accuracy.
- Stewardship & Acknowledgment: Work with the Finance & Operations Manager to draft thank-you letters and compile donor club materials; ensure prompt follow-up for all gifts and engagements.
- Donor Outreach & Scheduling: Support meeting coordination for the development team, prepare briefings, and assist with personalized donor outreach.
- Event Support: Assist with donor receptions, briefings, and national events, including setup, guest coordination, and post-event follow-up.
Qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Interest in philanthropy, communications, or public policy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; CRM experience a plus (training provided for Monday.com CRM).
- Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel and support events outside standard hours.

Salary
$58,000 - $68,000 per year
