    Job Title: Development Associate

    Department: Development

    Reports To: Chief Development Officer

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Employment Status: 12-month, full-time

     

    Position Summary

    The Development Associate supports the organization's fundraising and development efforts through event coordination, donor engagement, and administrative support. This role works closely with the Development team to ensure efficient execution of events, communications, and donor-related activities.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • The following duties are considered essential functions of the position:
    • Assist in planning and executing development events
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on event coordination
    • Maintain event and alumni databases
    • Coordinate communications and marketing materials
    • Prepare reports and track event outcomes
    • Manage logistics including vendors and event setup
    • Serve as a point of contact for event inquiries
    • Support vendor and partner relationships
    • Participate in professional development and mission-based activities
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    This role supports fundraising success and community engagement through effective coordination of events and donor activities.

     

    Qualifications - Required

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities

       

     Qualifications - Preferred

    • Practicing Catholic
    • Experience in nonprofit or event planning
    • Familiarity with donor systems and design tools

       

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Strong attention to detail
    • Effective collaboration
    • Ability to manage complex logistics
    • Strong interpersonal communication

       

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    • Office-based with event support responsibilities
    • Evening/weekend work as needed
    • Ability to perform standard office tasks with or without accommodation

     

    Compensation and Schedule

    • Salaried, exempt
    • Salary Range: $45,000-$60,000
    • Full-time schedule with occasional evenings/weekends
