Role Description

The Development Coordinator strengthens and expands the organization’s donor base by identifying, cultivating, and stewarding new and returning supporters. This role uses a personalized and relationship-focused approach to ensure donors feel valued, informed, and connected to the mission.

Key responsibilities include donor outreach and stewardship, developing long-term giving strategies, coordinating major gift efforts with organizational leadership and the Board of Directors, and creating clear and compelling messages that communicate the impact of the organization.

The Development Coordinator is a proactive relationship builder who helps inspire generosity and opens doors to new partnerships and resources. This role works closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to grow philanthropic relationships, support fundraising initiatives, and strengthen long-term financial sustainability.

Required Qualifications

Experience in fundraising, development, donor relations, or a related field

Strong relationship‑building and communication skills

Ability to collaborate with leadership and board members

High level of organization, attention to detail, and follow‑through

Experience working with donor databases or CRM systems

Proficiency with standard office software

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting board‑led fundraising efforts

Experience with donor segmentation or major gift pipelines

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Occasional evening and weekend hours required for events and donor engagement

Ability to attend community events and meetings

Primarily office‑based with off‑site activities as needed
