SUMMARY
Scouting Colorado seeks an organized, detail-oriented, and relationship-focused Development Coordinator to
support the execution of fundraising events. Reporting to the Senior Development Director – Special Events &
Annual Giving, this position plays a key role in coordinating event logistics, managing sponsorship
administration, supporting donor stewardship, and ensuring the successful execution of fundraising activities.
The Development Coordinator will collaborate with staff, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and community
partners to help deliver exceptional fundraising experiences while supporting Scouting Colorado's mission and
revenue goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising Events
• Serve as the staff lead for Scouting Colorado's Annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet and Vale
la Pena Awards Reception & Fundraiser.
• Support the planning and execution of Scouting Colorado's premier fundraising events,
including Sports Breakfast, Corporate Sporting Clays, and Golf Classic.
• Other events as assigned.
Event & Sponsorship Management
• Maintain event timelines, project plans, budgets, and planning documents to ensure
successful execution.
• Manage participant registration, event inquiries, invoices, payment processing, and attendee
records.
• Coordinate vendors, volunteers, committees, venues, and event logistics.
• Solicit, procure, and steward in-kind donations for silent auctions, raffles, and other

fundraising activities.
• Prepare sponsorship agreements, invoices, recognition materials, and fulfill sponsor benefits.
• Track sponsorship commitments, registrations, payments, outstanding balances, and auction
or raffle donations.
• Coordinate collection of sponsor logos, advertisements, and recognition materials.
• Prepare event signage, registration materials, sponsor displays, and other event supplies.
• Assist with event setup, execution, breakdown, and post-event reporting.
Corporate Partnerships & Development Support
• Conduct prospect research to identify and support corporate sponsorship opportunities.
• Maintain sponsorship, donor, and event tracking documents and fundraising records.
• Assist with project management, departmental calendars, expense tracking, and annual giving
initiatives.
• Support additional fundraising projects and development activities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, marketing, public
relations, or a related field preferred.
• One to three years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, event management,
project coordination, or a related field.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with donor or CRM databases preferred.
• Ability to build productive relationships with volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community
partners.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of fundraising events.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Scouting Colorado.
REQUIREMENTS
• To perform the essential functions of this position, the employee may be required to
occasionally stand, walk, reach, and use hands and fingers for handling or operating office
equipment. The role also requires the ability to communicate effectively and perceive
information through sight and hearing.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
• Experience coordinating fundraising or community events.
• Experience working with volunteers or volunteer committees.
• Familiarity with databases such as Bloomerang and Blackbaud.
• Experience processing sponsorships, registrations, or donor records.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Salary range: $58,000 – $65,000*
