Position Overview The Development Intern will support the Development team by assisting with donor stewardship, event and meeting coordination, donor communications, and database record maintenance. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising operations, donor engagement, and relationship management.

Position Overview The Development Intern will support the Development team by assisting with donor stewardship, event and meeting coordination, donor communications, and database record maintenance. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising operations, donor engagement, and relationship management.
Compensation & Schedule
- $17.75 per hour
- Full-time, 40 hours per week during the summer internship period
- Support donor recognition and stewardship activities in collaboration with Development relationship managers
- Assist with donor cultivation meetings, tours, and fundraising events
- Maintain and update donor records in Salesforce
- Prepare donor acknowledgement letters for review
- Draft correspondence for mailings and impact reports
- Make thank-you calls to donors as directed by stewardship processes
- Provide administrative support to partner teams as needed
- Complete occasional seasonal offsite errands within the service area
- Support special projects and affiliate-wide initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling donor information
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with willingness to take initiative
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; intermediate Excel skills preferred
- Primarily office-based work with occasional local travel within the service area
- Use of computers, telephones, and other office technology for extended periods
- Ability to sit, type, and perform tasks requiring visual, manual, and auditory attention
- Ability to lift or move items up to 20 pounds
- Assist with event setup as needed
