Job Opening- Part-time Development Manager The Montclair History Center seeks a part-time Development Manager to join our team. The Development Manager is responsible to grow foundation and corporate support, develop and implement strategies to strengthen and expand the organization’s membership and donor base, plan and execute fundraising events, and identify and cultivate partnerships to broaden the organization’s reach and audience engagement. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week at $30/hour. Essential Functions/Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Annual Development Plan Develop and execute strategies aligned with the annual development plan to achieve year-over-year growth goals. About Montclair History Center The Montclair History Center (MHC), originally established in 1965 as the Montclair Historical Society, is dedicated to sharing the rich and diverse history of Montclair through research, education, and programs. We connect the past with who we are today. Our Orange Road campus is home to three historic houses that serve as hubs for learning and exploration. The Crane House & Historic YWCA operates as a public museum, showcasing American history from the nation’s founding through the civil rights movement. The Nathaniel Crane House features our Visitor Center, museum shop, and exhibits including a 19th-century general store and schoolroom. The Clark House serves as MHC’s administrative office and houses our research library and archives, a community resource for historical inquiry and learning. Together with educational gardens and our partnership with Montclair Community Farms, these historic spaces form a vibrant campus where history comes alive.
