The Awesome Things You’ll Do
Donor & Partner Stewardship
- Support relationship management of individual and corporate donors, sometimes serving as a primary point of contact.
- Maintain donor list segmentation for fundraising appeals and donor correspondence.
- Draft collateral for internal and external audiences, including donor-facing communications such as thank-you letters, meeting requests, and pitch decks.
- Support in tracking “Moves Management” across the team.
- Serve as primary lead for the Round Up program.
- Manage annual fund campaign activities.
- Manage donor communications calendar.
- Manage donor data in Raiser’s Edge (training provided if needed).
- Manage gift entry, produce timely acknowledgment letters, and manage regular reconciliation with finance department.
- Run reports to track progress toward fundraising goals and report progress in monthly STAT meetings, strategic planning check-ins, weekly gift logs, etc.
- Provide logistical support across events, including the annual Gala, corporate engagement events, and donor/partner visits.
- Support the Associate Director of Events with tracking, budgets, and coordinating with vendors.
- Utilize wealth screening tools to conduct prospect research. Support grants team in foundation and corporate grant research as needed.
- Review prospect research and suggest donors qualified for donor portfolios.
- Prepare prospect reports and meeting briefs for CEO, SVP, and others as needed.
- Ensure team projects are organized and on track with deadlines and goals.
- Process invoices and reimbursements, support budget tracking, and liaise with vendors.
- Provide administrative and calendar support to SVP of Development, Marketing & Communications; Associate Director of Special Events; and VP of Program Innovation.
- Support in preparation, scheduling, and notetaking during the Development and Nominating Committees of the Board.
- This role may require occasional travel to program sites in NYC and Northen NJ.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in an administrative, development, operations, or project coordination role (nonprofit sector preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and speed.
- Sharp judgment, resourcefulness, and common sense; able to anticipate needs and solve problems independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with donor databases (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce) is a plus.
- Strong comfort with numbers, data, and reporting.
- Enthusiasm for Goodwill’s mission of creating a world with no barriers to employment.
