Digital Community Organizer

Position Summary: Fair Future NC seeks a Digital Community Organizer to lead their new digital organizing program on the ground in Mecklenburg County. This role involves creating and distributing engaging content, fostering community relationships, and enhancing online presence for Fair Future NC & partners.
This is a full-time, cycle position with an immediate start date and ends on November 30th, 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital storytelling strategies
- Create shareable social media content and assets (posts, images, videos, infographics)
- Engage with and grow the online community
- Maintain relationships with community leaders and activists
- Attend in-person events to cultivate networks and collect video and photo content
Basic Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for attending events in Mecklenburg County.
- Must have internet access and a laptop computer.
- Full-time residence in Mecklenburg County
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years in digital organizing, campaigns, or advocacy
- Comfortable being on camera
- Strong organizational, communication, and social media skills
- Experience working with diverse communities
- Experience in content creation.
Compensation:
- $4,500 to $5,500 per month.
- We also offer a healthcare and technology stipend.
