Chairman Martin Heinrich (D-NM) seeks a motivated Digital Director and Content Strategist for the Democratic Staff of the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee (JEC) to develop and run online communications strategy. This position will create and implement short- and long-term digital strategies to highlight the work of the Committee and expand the Committee’s online presence. The position will manage the Committee’s social media accounts and create content for them, update and maintain the Committee’s website, and collaborate on digital messaging with other Committees, the Chairman’s and Committee members’ personal offices, and outside allies. The position will analyze web statistics and online engagement to evolve the office’s digital efforts, and create multimedia assets, including graphics and video content to promote Committee work for use across digital platforms. This is not an entry level position – two to three years of prior digital experience in internships or full-time positions is required and Hill and/or campaign experience is preferred. Ideal applicants will be creative, motivated, and work well within a team. The position is based in Washington, D.C.
