Job Description

About Us

Digital Strategy Group is a consulting firm that helps candidates, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations raise more money online. We specialize in email, SMS, paid media, and digital program optimization—partnering closely with clients to build high-performing fundraising programs.

We’re looking for a mid-level Digital Fundraising Associate to support and execute digital fundraising programs across multiple clients.

Role Overview

The Digital Fundraising Associate plays a hands-on role in managing and improving digital fundraising efforts. This position sits between entry-level execution and senior strategy: you’ll own day-to-day deliverables, contribute to strategy, and help ensure client programs are effective, tested, and on track.

You’ll work closely with senior strategists while also operating independently across assigned accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage email and SMS fundraising campaigns from draft through deployment
  • Support paid media fundraising programs (Meta, Google, etc.) including creative coordination and performance tracking
  • Build, QA, and optimize donation pages and forms
  • Analyze performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversion, CPA, ROAS) and surface insights
  • Assist with A/B testing plans and implement test results
  • Maintain campaign calendars and manage timelines across multiple clients
  • Prepare clear internal and client-facing reports and summaries
  • Coordinate with designers, copywriters, and vendors as needed
  • Help troubleshoot deliverability, compliance, and platform issues

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in digital fundraising, political campaigns, or nonprofit digital programs
  • Hands-on experience with email and/or SMS platforms (e.g., Action Network, NGP VAN, Switchboard, EveryAction, ActBlue, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Meta and Google Ads for fundraising or acquisition (direct management or close collaboration)
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with performance data
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with clients or stakeholders preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a consulting or agency environment
  • Political or advocacy fundraising background
  • HTML/CSS basics for email or landing pages
  • Experience during high-pressure cycles (elections, matching campaigns, giving days)

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • Fully remote or flexible hybrid environment
  • Direct exposure to high-impact fundraising programs
  • Mentorship and growth toward senior strategist roles
  • A collaborative, low-ego team that values results and clarity
