Congresswoman Val Hoyle (D-OR-04) seeks a self-starting and creative Digital Manager/Press Assistant to join her office and work on a fast-paced communications team. In this role, the Digital Manager/Press Assistant will play a critical part in shaping, branding, and maintaining the public image of the Congresswoman, requiring a combination of strategic thinking, strong digital skills, and the ability to be creative and thrive under pressure.
This person is expected to exercise discretion and independent judgment in carrying out the duties of the position. The ideal candidate is creative; has sound judgment; interested in learning more about the national and state-based press; pays attention to detail; and, has good research, design, and digital media skills, including proven video editing capabilities. This person works closely with the Communications Director, who is their immediate supervisor, with DC and District staff, as well as with interns. This person reports to the Chief of Staff.
