A Digital Strategist at Nineteen Sixty Campaigns is a member of our full-time team, responsible for advanced-level account management, and overall business development and strategy.
As a Digital Strategist, you will maintain a book of clients as Account Lead and work with other staffers to ensure success of their accounts. You ideally have multiple cycles of fundraising, advocacy, and direct response client management, either in-house on a campaign or at a non-profit, or preferably in an agency setting.
As a member of a small team, you will model best practices and contribute to the high-level development of our agency.
The position is fully remote. Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
Required Experience and Competencies
- 2-4 years in direct response digital fundraising. You have demonstrated experience raising money for candidates and organizations online across multiple channels.
- 2-4 years in an agency environment is preferred, but not necessary. You have worked as an account manager and know how to guide clients to success.
- You are a skilled copywriter who is able to write authentic, client-specific copy across channels that drives results.
- You should have comfort and familiarity with most of the following channels: email marketing, texting, Meta, Google search, YouTube, programmatic display, direct buys.
- You have used at least some of these tools: NGP8, EveryAction, Action Network, Mailchimp, Action Kit, NGP, Scale to Win, Switchboard, ActBlue.
- You have a level of comfort with data and basic data manipulation skills (e.g. an Excel or Google Sheets nerd), and actively use client program data to communicate with clients and drive our strategies forward.
- You have experience with large list growth programs. You are familiar with introducing data vendors, advertising, and other acquisition options.
- Proven resilience. When things aren’t working, you’re eager to test new digital strategies — and then share findings teamwide.

- Manage the strategy, and execution or delegation of deliverables for email fundraising, social media, and/or other digital projects as required. This can include:
- Managing email programs
- Managing texting programs
- Buying digital advertising

- Content Creation: Able to create a strategic content calendar in accordance with a client’s goals and best practices. Can draft copy to execute that calendar that is unique, mostly error-free, and in a client’s unique voice.
