Bernadette’s House, Inc. | Seasonal Leadership Role Company Description Bernadette’s House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Howard County, Prince George’s County, and Anne Arundel County. We are dedicated to empowering girls ages 8–17 through mentorship, leadership development, and enrichment programs that support confidence, creativity, and personal growth. The Brains & Beauty Summer Program is one of our signature initiatives, designed to blend leadership development, creativity, and real-world skill building in a supportive and affirming environment. Role Description Bernadette’s House is seeking a Director for the Brains & Beauty Summer Program to provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for this two-week summer program. The Director supports program planning, manages daily operations during the program weeks, coordinates staff and volunteers, and helps ensure a safe, engaging, and well-organized experience for participants. This role works closely with Bernadette’s House leadership to ensure program quality and alignment with the organization’s mission. This is a seasonal, on-site leadership role. Program Dates Week 1: July 13–17, 2026 Week 2: July 20–24, 2026 Compensation $20–$25 per hour, based on experience (paid during week 1 and 2 of the program) Planning will start February 16, 2026 (2-3 hours per week)- UNPAID Key Responsibilities • Provide leadership and oversight for the Brains & Beauty Summer Program • Support planning, scheduling, and preparation prior to program start • Oversee daily program operations during both program weeks • Coordinate instructors, volunteers, and guest facilitators • Help ensure a positive, inclusive, and engaging program environment • Communicate regularly with organizational leadership regarding progress and needs • Support program goals, outcomes, and participant experience Qualifications • Experience in youth programming, education, nonprofit leadership, or program coordination • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills • Ability to manage schedules, people, and logistics effectively • Comfort working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment • Passion for youth empowerment and leadership development • Familiarity with nonprofit or community-based programs preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field is a plus, but not required Commitment Overview This role includes planning support prior to the summer program and active, on-site leadership during both program weeks. Specific schedules and expectations will be discussed with selected candidates to ensure alignment and sustainability.
