Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid Director of Communications role, located in Anchorage, AK with flexibility for some remote work. The Director of Communications will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of strategic communication plans, coordinating media relations and press releases, and managing public relations efforts. The role involves close collaboration with the Alaska Democratic Party's executive team and campaign staff.
Qualifications
- Press Releases and Communication skills
- Experience developing and executing strategic communications plans
- Experience with Media Relations and Public Relations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively
- Experience in political campaign communications is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- Knowledge of Alaskan politics and community is beneficial
