Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Creative Strategy and Marketing, the Director of Creative Strategy will serve as a core member of the Creative Strategy and Marketing team at OneTeam Partners. This role will be responsible for leading the insights development and ideation of multi-media creative assets, content, experiences and campaigns across all of OneTeam’s consumer brand and Players Association Partners. Serving as a partner to the Creative Director, this role is crucial in the development of creative strategy and original ideation for clients and prospects and will be active in sustaining and growing OneTeam’s base of brand partners by supporting both RFP responses and forward-looking strategic ideas.
The Director of Creative Strategy will work closely with other members of the Creative Strategy and Marketing team, the Sponsorship & Athlete Marketing team as well as the Content/Media team to ensure seamless integration into the sales and creative execution process for potential prospects, renewals and upsells with existing partners. The role will have the opportunity to provide a creative viewpoint intended to develop compelling original ideas and platforms to drive incremental revenue.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creative development process for brand partner campaigns, including brainstorm, ideation, story lining, and creative concepting to deliver on brand and business objectives
- Inform the creative strategy across all creative development via deployment of relevant insights, trends and best practices
- Work with the Creative Strategy and Marketing team to design, develop, and deliver all necessary pitch materials
- Work closely with the sponsorship team to drive the pre-sale process, assign budget dollars and develop compelling proposals in response to brand RFPs as well as for forward-thinking strategic ideas
- Work closely with the activation team to develop creative concepts, frameworks, and assets for existing brand clients to deliver on brand objectives
- Collaborate with the Creative Strategy and Marketing team to develop unique and innovative assets, content, experiences, and campaigns that can drive incremental revenue based on OneTeam and it’s Players Association partners existing IP
- Develop new, revenue driving IP in partnership with OneTeam Players Association Partners
- Build case studies from successful internal platforms and programs for use in future sales opportunities in coordination with relevant sponsorship team
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Required Experience & Skills
- 6-8+ years of experience in a creative, account planning/strategy or brand marketing role. Agency and sports marketing experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related discipline. Masters degree preferred.
- Experience with brand positioning, audience research and insight development, campaign platform and message development, building customer journeys, campaign ecosystem and results measurement
- Experience developing and budgeting content, campaigns and experiences across a variety of mediums
- Demonstrated skill in persuasive storytelling, with the ability to seamlessly connect strategic objectives to creative concepts
- Ongoing knowledge of cultural trends particularly in the lifestyle, media, sports and entertainment space
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of business acumen, creative problem-solving abilities, presentation skills and professionalism
- Experience using project management, CRM and MS Office software; Adobe Creative Cloud experience a plus
