<Job Overview>
The Director of Development and Communications for CCF leads grant writing, donor development, fundraising campaigns, and all external communications, including social media, newsletters, and website content. The Director is also responsible for strengthening the organization’s financial sustainability through development and public visibility.
<Responsibilities>
Major Donor Development and Stewardship: Grow donor base and conduct quarterly touch-points with donors. Launch fundraising campaigns annually.
- Manage a personal portfolio of 100–150 mid-level and major donors ($1,000+)
- Implement individualized cultivation and stewardship strategies
- Guide and support the Executive Director and board members in prospect cultivation and solicitation
- Preparation of briefing materials, talking points, and meeting agenda items
- Maintain donor CRM in Salesforce
- Build and grow the donor base and relationships
- Develop and execute 3+ fundraising campaigns annually across giving levels
Grant Writing: High-Quality Grant Writing and Management where you submit timely, competitive grant proposals with a target success rate. Maintain an organized grants pipeline. Identify new grant opportunities per quarter.

Communications and Digital Strategy: Responsible for creating and driving strategic communications and creating brand visibility by maintaining a consistent content calendar, increasing social media engagement and followers through mission-aligned storytelling. Create a strong digital presence by keeping CCF's website updated, sharing regularly on social media and improving digital views and producing quarterly analytics reports.

Leadership and Collaboration: Be a manager, mentor and coach and inspire followership. Recruit, mentor, and inspire a small team of development professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, accountability, and results. Mentor junior staff in best practices for donor relations, grant writing, and strategic communications

<Experience>
- 7+ years nonprofit development and communications experience
- Proven grant and donor success
- Strong writing and storytelling skills
- Digital communications experience
- Proven experience with AI grant writing, communications and development
- NYC hybrid schedule required
- Experienced as a people manager, coach and mentor
- Salesforce experience preferred but at least 2 years of a CRM experience required
- 3rd party donation and communication apps
Pay: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
