Job Description
National health care association located near the King Street-Old Town Metro station in Alexandria, Va., seeks an experienced professional to develop, implement and oversee NCPA’s political affairs and fundraising strategy. The individual will be responsible for the management, coordination, and development of the NCPA PAC (Political Action Committee) and the LDF (Legal and Legislative Defense Fund) programs for the association. This highly motivated self-starter will oversee fundraising strategy and solicitations for the PAC and LDF, including grassroots and major donor campaigns. They will ensure NCPA PAC compliance with the FEC regulations; build and extend NCPA’s influence to increase revenue, brand awareness and relevance; monitor and meet LDF budget goals and assist in efforts to develop and maintain funding sources; and assist in developing the strategy for and implementation of NCPA’s political activities at the federal and state level in addition to oversight and supervision of the PAC Manager. The position requires a keen understanding of the factors that influence giving in the association marketplace and an innovative approach to PAC fundraising and PAC fundraising events. A successful candidate will be a driven, organized, professional team member who is a talented communicator focused on member service and engagement with excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills. Candidates should have demonstrated aptitude and success in fundraising, and political compliance.
Some travel required; exposure to health care and membership associations a plus. Excellent benefits; salary commensurate with experience.
