Job Description

The Director of Scheduling is based in our Hudson (or Poughkeepsie) district office, and is responsible for scheduling daily meetings and events for the Assemblymember and staff, as well as for drafting letters, commendations, and other correspondence.


Job Description:

  • Responsible for the Assemblymember’s schedule, both in the district and in Albany
  • Work with other offices, stakeholders, and constituents to set up meetings and visits
  • Drafting letters, legislative commendations, and other correspondence on behalf of the Assemblymember
  • Representing the Assemblymember at community events
  • Occasionally flexible hours, including evenings and weekends


Key Abilities and Experience:

  • Knowledge of and familiarity with the Hudson Valley, Columbia and Dutchess County, and the 106th Assembly District
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Attention to detail and time management skills
  • Professional experience maintaining a busy schedule
  • Research and decision-making skills, with ability to proactively find solutions and work independently, as well as to collaborate across a small team
  • Demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically, including in a fast-changing, often high stakes environment

  • Salary and Benefits:

    $50,000-55,000 per year for a full-time overtime exempt position. This position offers health, vision, and dental insurance as well as a retirement plan. The position also comes with sick days, vacation days, and personal time, as well as state and religious holidays.
