Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) seeks a Director of Scheduling for Washington, DC office. The Director of Scheduling manages the Senator’s daily and long-term schedules in DC and nationally. Duties include evaluating and responding to scheduling requests; reviewing schedules and logistics for accuracy; working with personal and committee staff on long-term schedule planning; resolving schedule conflicts and making last minute changes as needed; managing and updating the Senator’s contacts; special projects and other duties as assigned. A successful Director of Scheduling will be a proficient professional, have a masterful grasp of detail-oriented logistical planning, a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment, a flexibility of understanding as schedules evolve and priorities shift, and take a common sense approach to the timing demands of a busy principal. This is NOT an entry level position. Experience in congressional, federal, or high-level principal support is required.
