The Office of U.S. Senator Angela D. Alsobrooks seeks an experienced Director of Scheduling with exceptional judgement, superb communication skills and strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. This person will oversee all aspects of the scheduling in D.C. and Maryland and will manage the Deputy Scheduler. This is a very visible senior position with regular collaboration across all departments. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: direct the Senator’s daily and long-term schedule; brief the Senator on all scheduling activities; identify and execute complex travel; oversee compilation of all briefing and logistics materials; manage information flow between the Senator, staff and external stakeholders; maintain all personal files for the Senator, support the team with special events and ad-hoc projects. This is not an entry level position, this position requires an individual who can be diplomatic, make quick decisions, exercise sound judgement, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Previous Congressional scheduling or administrative work experience is required; familiarity with Maryland is preferred. This is a senior level position. The salary range is $110,000 - $120,000.
