Job Description

The Progressive Policy Institute in Washington, D.C., is looking for an experienced policy analyst to oversee its work on issues relating to workforce development, the school-to-work transition, and alternative career pathways for non-college workers. Applicants should have several years of experience in relevant fields and strong research and writing skills.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing research reports and policy proposals to inform political debates on these topics
  • Writing articles and assisting in the creation of relevant digital media content, and
  • Representing the Institute in public events
  • Organizing events centered on workforce development policy
  • Working with the Government Relations, Communications team, and executives to advance PPI’s mission and goals in this policy space
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
