The Office of Congresswoman Kim Schrier (WA-08) seeks a District Staff Assistant for her Issaquah, WA office. This position will support the office operations of the Congresswoman’s two Washington State District Offices.

Primary responsibilities include answering phone calls, managing front office operations, greeting visitors, and processing mail. The Staff Assistant will also coordinate town halls, provide basic technical support, and oversee the district’s participation in the Congressional App Challenge and the Congressional Art Competition. Additional duties involve processing incoming constituent casework, tracking office metrics, and providing general administrative support.

Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to public service, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized and solution-oriented. While customer service and prior government experience are advantages, strong ties to Washington State and the 8th Congressional District are preferred. Access to a car is required for this role.
