The Dual Credit Engagement Specialist will work with school districts, students, families, Dual Credit Program instructors, and higher education faculty liaisons on behalf of the Willamette Promise to support the coordination of the Dual Credit Program activities in component districts. The main focus of the Dual Credit Engagement Specialist will be to provide communication, advising, and other relevant information to students, families, and educators as it relates to Willamette Promise Dual Credit coursework and post-secondary transition into college or workforce. The Willamette Promise Dual Credit engagement specialist serves as the main point of contact for the Dual Credit program and provides excellent customer service to all program stakeholders.

  • This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) Classified position represented by the Oregon School Employees Association.
  • Placement on the Willamette ESD Classified Salary Schedule Range 16, Step 1-6; ($21.72-$27.77 per hour) will be commensurate with applicant’s qualifications, relevant training and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Co-facilitates and supports Dual Credit Professional Learning Communities.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks for program initiatives on behalf of the Program Coordinator and Accelerated Learning Manager.
  • Utilizes intercultural communication in engaging historically underrepresented communities.
  • Practices culturally relevant approaches to recruitment and ongoing engagement.
  • Supports manager in coordinating events and Professional Learning events including logistics, outcomes, and training deliverables.
  • Retrieves information, files, and other records; establishes and maintains departmental files.
  • Provides feedback on outgoing communication on behalf of the Accelerated Learning Manager and Program Coordinator.
  • Sets up meetings with students, districts, and higher education partners on behalf of the Program Coordinator and Accelerated Learning Manager.
  • Registers individuals, makes sign-in sheets, creates feedback sheets, creates summaries, creates name tags, ensures copies are made for all program events, trainings, and other professional development activities.
  • Produces, processes and reviews department records, including department files, intergovernmental agreements, contracts, contract amendments and agreements.
  • Prepares draft service contracts, follows through with contract revisions, obtains signatures and processes contract compliance forms.
  • Supports Program Coordinator and Accelerated Learning Manager in establishing, maintaining, and managing contract records.
  • Supports and collaborates with staff and the communications department to create attractive and clear PDF documents for correspondence and web posting that clearly articulate Dual Credit Program information to students, families, and school districts.
  • Updates and maintains web pages and other digital spaces related to Dual Credit Program information.
